| At Widdershins we practice sustainable agriculture and feel it is important to keep small farms viable and food local. We strive to keep our impact on the land minimal, and to provide quality grass-fed beef, milk, pasture raised pork & poultry as well as quality breeding stock, to people interested in eating and living better with local food. The vizslas are our house & hunting companions and we provide our Devon cattle, Katahdin sheep and Nigerian Dwarf goats & Large Black hogs with comfortable, natural and humane environments. A fine disposition, correct type and the ability to do the job they were intended for is foremost in our minds when breeding our animals. We occasionally have vizsla puppies, Nigerian Dwarf kids, Devon cattle & piglets for sale, as well as our grass-fed beef, raw cow & goat milk and Katahdin sheep & lambs. Widdershins is located in Central Maine, approximately 2 hours north of Portland, ME, 45 minutes northwest of Bangor, ME and 4.5 hours north of Boston. Widdershins was recognized by the Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District as Cooperators or the Year for 2010. |
